We are a 5 member family located in the Heart of Dixie. We’re a mom, a dad, a daughter, a son, and a baby daughter in that order. We are a Christ centered family who does our best to stay focused and spread the word. We are human and flawed and we make mistakes but we’ve all enjoyed seeing the way God has changed our lives. It has not always been an easy lesson to learn but we’ve always come out the other side of trials wiser then we were to start with.
I am the stay at home mom. I love my children with all my heart and more and more everyday. With 12 years between the oldest girl and the youngest things are always a little chaotic and there is most definitely always something new everyday of our lives. I absolutely love watching my kids personalities develop. The oldest girl is quite the artist and has her own style and flair. She has a great sense of humor and a caring heart. She’s becoming more independent everyday but she still loves her momma and her daddy and lets us know she is still a little girl at heart. My boy is definitely becoming more of a little man everyday. He is quick witted and funny and catches on to things faster then you’d think. He keeps us on our toes. Our newest addition is our beautiful baby girl. She ties our blended family together. She makes all of us smile and laugh and has definitely created a united front in this household. My amazing husband works 4 days a week and we’re lucky to have him home for long weekends….well…normally. He is Mr. Fix It so he always has something going somewhere, whether it is his latest car project ( don’t get us started ) or offering to fix someone else’s car, computer, hot water heater…you name it he can fix it. He is a great husband and loving father and is currently involved in a project of rebuilding a classic car with our kids. This will teach them a lot about how things work mechanically as well as standard and metric measurements. This means a lot to me as I am newly trying my hand at home schooling. While I do not feel we can shelter our children from everything this world throws at them I do know that I can give better individualized attention and protect them from the way things are going in schools lately.
We are blessed to have an awesome extended family and church family. We have close friends that may as well be family and some that are so close our kids don’t know the difference half the time. We attend WellSpring Community Church and are actively involved with Children’s Church.
